If you’re looking to enjoy the beauty of Cayuga, and share that gorgeous lake with your entire family, there isn’t another property quite like this one. This setting is unparalleled! The views change throughout the day, beginning with a stunning sunrise from the decks, bedrooms and sunrooms, all the way through sunset barbecue dinners, where 14 of us were able to break bread and toast our family at and enormous dining table. Having the beach all to yourself, to skip perfectly flat rocks or jump into one of the two kayaks, or paddle board on to the lake was idyllic. We’re going back if they’ll have us! If it’s available, grab this gem.

The house was a great space for 7 of us to stay. We were so close to wineries and Taughannock Falls. We loved the beautiful updates to the master bedroom and the kitchen was so charming and perfect for entering. The host was very quick to respond to questions about our stay and the house was very clean upon arrival.

Debra’s place is everything it promises and more. Debra adds a bunch of little touches that make it so homey and lovely: games and puzzles, condiments and basics in the fridge, a history of the house and the family, a notebook containing everything you could possibly need to know about the area, the house and its amenities, and how to work everything. The kitchen is amazing, big washer and dryer, loads of towels, and the softest sheets we’ve ever slept on. On top of that, you just can’t say enough about the location: going to sleep at night to the lapping of water on the shore, enjoying so many views from several decks as well as a large shoreline for exploring, the best skipping rocks you’ve ever seen, and taking a bath while enjoying views of Cayuga — just wow. We just wish we could have gone out on the lake, but it was a tad too cold for that. We went exploring at Taughannock Falls, Watkins Glen Gorge Trail, Cornell, Wegman’s, and Ithaca restaurants. Location, location, location. This place is outstanding!

We love this house!! It is cozy, comfortable, clean and in a great location. We enjoyed the decks for relaxing, sipping wine and sunsets. We also spotted herons fishing and a mama duck paddling around with her ducklings too. The house has a fairly new kitchen and brand new master bath and powder room; all gorgeous! A nice surprise as they are new since a previous stay. Our group enjoyed trying out all of the cool places to hang in around the house and paddle in the kayaks on the lake. The house is close to waterfalls, wineries and Ithaca and Trumansburg. But when you are there you feel miles away from everything!! We were visiting the area for our sons graduation and were able to have a few friends and family members join us for a vacation on the lake. Debra is responsive and helpful. The directions, information and amenities at the house make for a stress free stay. Debra and her family have created a sweet oasis on Cayuga Lake. Thank-you for sharing – it was hard to leave!!!!

Mia’s Lake House is a wonderful place! We’ve been twice now and hope to return many more times. In an absolutely beautiful spot on the Cayuga shore, the house is welcoming and roomy–perfectly suited for family gatherings. As we love to cook for and with family and friends, we are really appreciative of the new kitchen! We love the location, a 10 minute drive from Trumansburg, 20 minutes from Ithaca and with a host of other sites to explore a short drive, you will never be at a loss for things to do, whether it be hiking, museums, historical sites, or water adventures on the lake. Mia’s Lake House has become a cherished part of our family’s summer time together.
